What to Do After Binge Eating?

I am pretty sure that it happens with most of us. You were consistent with your diet for weeks & suddenly one day you lost your control. On that day

you ate like there is no tomorrow.

After that meal, you might be drowning in the flood of "shouldn't have" & be mad at yourself for having no will power & lack of consistency.

In an attempt to compensate that sin that you have committed, you promise yourself to skip a meal, eat salads without dressing, avoid carbs completely for a day or two, do excessive cardio or just give up.

However, researchers suggest that guilt is a negative emotion which lowers your self-esteem & plunges you even deeper into emotional overeating.

As you cant make progress overnight, you cant either lose it.

So stop feeling guilty & silence your inner critic whenever it says something negative about you. This bad habit should be stopped.

Just get back to your usual eating & training pattern from the very next day. If you are making progress before the deviation, then you will surely continue making progress after it. Don't just let your journey derailed because of one meal or a bad day.
